Spares - Aprilia
My mate has been trying to restore a Mito for two years, it's nearly there but parts have been difficult to get his hands on and pretty expensive.
But having said that, the Mito wins it for me, after riding an X-reg RS and a 51 Mito, the Mito just feels nicer to ride, smaller, but I much preferred the Cagiva. Plus seven gears! ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K

I keep thinking about trying to pick up a cheapo TZR 125 Belgarda, always wanted one for years. But I'm a bit of a Yamorak, even though I'm only twenty there are so many 125s that I want to ride and own, and 50's, I often think about getting an Aprilia MX 50, or 125, and just going mental on it.
But I think about lots of things, often irrelevant to anything. ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K

I actually don't like the Fugly TZR Belgarda imports. It's the TZR250RR V-twin replica I like which often came in typical late 90's Yam colours like Black with pink and lilac!
It's a beaut compared to the Belgarda even if it's slower. It's like comparing the ugly TZR 250 Reverse twin to the pretty TZR V-twin. A V-twin might be more restricted and slower as std, but so much better looking! |

Hi
My feeling is that the Cagivas are better engineered bikes. Tend to use roller bearings where Aprilia just use a bush. Things fit together nicely (don't mean how the bolt together, rather how components are shaped to complement each other). Aprilia wiring seems better.
Not sure on spares. Not had major issues with the Aprilias, but others have had major problems.
All the best

They're not all 7 speed.
IIRC, avoid the evo 2, as it's 6 speed, and check the engine hasn't been replaced with an evo2 if you want 7 gears, as they're interchangeable across all models. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!
