the bike is a 600 blandit (40k mileage)
original zort
original (genuine) air box/ filter
it just runs crap, on choke it will drop a cylinder, less choke, missing cylinder comes back - im putting this down to being too rich (plus the plugs are as black as a witches hat)
the bike is all tucked up for the winter now, so i wont fiddle with it until it gets warmer...
just thinking out loud really, i do like the look of them colour tune things though |

if the bike is stock, then it should run fine on the standard settings, I'd be looking elsewhere for issues. ____________________ covent.gardens: lihp is my most favourite member ever |

I recollect a post a while ago where someone with a Bandit 600 had a similar problem and it ended up being the inlet manifold seals between the cylinder head and the manifolds. If they leak, which would explain your symptoms, then the bike would run lean.If the choke was then run on half setting, then this would compensate part way.
Easiest and quickest way to determine inlet leaks is to run the engine and then squirt some Dampstart or WD40 around the manifolds. If the engine revs change slightly, then the inlet vacuum is drawing in the accelerant and enrichening that cylinder.
If you are going to have the carbs off anyway, take a look at the seals
