Today, I tried to boot up the Debian and all I got was that: the ''BootMGR'' was missing and all I could do was restart the PC with alt+ctrl+del.
Is there a way how to get this sorted out? I'm burning Debian image onto a CD as we speak.

According to Google, that's a Windows error... Is it a dual boot system? Are you using GRUB, LILO or some other boot manager?

I do have Windows and Debian in one PC, but each system have its own hard drive.

Nope, I just press F8 key at the start up screen and that gives me the option to choose which drive to boot up. Worked for ages, now this.

I did as you said, and it works. I'm still not sure why it wouldn't let me boot the linux up using the F8 key as always.

If you say *i did nothing* you are an utter total bald faced liar and I will no longer talk to you.

If you have windows vista, 7 or 8 some of the updates delete GRUB and fuck up the bootloaders by trying to go back to bootmgr. Windows will try and install the bootloader on a random drive and as far as i know there is no easy way to stop it.

TL:DR uninstall windows if you want a multiboot system that is reliable.

I used the PC for Windows, I had to get some work done. You know far too well how fragile a linux based system can be when I, specifically, need it to do stuff.

Or get rid of Grub and use Gummiboot if you're using a different hard drive for each OS.

Depends on the hardware running the VM.

It takes less resources to run a single operating system then it does to run an O/S, then the VM client, then another O/S within it.
