SS100 I would like a real SS100 but the 1/4 Million £ price tag is prohibitive. This may not appeal to the sports bike power rangers but at £38K and delivering 140 BHP at only 180 Kg it will be able to hold its own on the road. I want. ____________________ Bikers make great organ donors, get 115 on your licence today. |

I never thought I'd say this about some stupidly expensive, limited edition, retro designed bike, but...
I really do like that! |

I came.
Waxing lyrical a bit here but after the uninspired hash being brought out by all the other reborn vintage and boutique brands (Horex, Lotus, maybe Hesketh.... ), this bike looks like a complete package, one whose every little detail has been fussed over by a discerning eye.
It looks like an old steam locomotive, lots of mechanical bits on display but with classy farkles and brightwork spread about in all the right places.
Low, long and narrow and elegant too, unlike the ever-widening land barges that bikes seem to be becoming today ____________________ Motorsapien Art |

Sadly, Horex have gone under, the Hesketh production run has finished and the Lotus is gopping.
I agree with the comments above, it's nice but the V looks too wide and the wheel choice is unfortunate. Some 17's would have allowed fitment of some proper rubber, which would be preferable if you're actually intending to use all 140bhp. ____________________ Triumph Daytona 675 track bike + girlfriend's Honda Hornet 600

I wanted to like it, but it looks like an art project drawn by a left hander. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

Quite nice to look at apart from the exhaust system that just doesn't look quite appeasing. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS

Also, not sure how a 160 width 18" handles 100hp, but typically 100hp will get a 180 width 17" and 160 seems to make sense on a 72hp minitwin, say.
(Of course, for the likely riding this will receive, I'm sure it'll be ablsolutely fine, even with whatever horrbile tyres they're probably offering with it.) |
My TDM has 90hp and 160 tyres, it also has far more torque than any 600 sports. I've never had any problems with grip. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

I really like the way you can rotate the picture
Not sure about all these new old bikes, it seems like every few months someone has dug up an old bike name/make and started making them again.
MV Agusta springs to mind, very nice bikes but there not MV's.
The new Norton on the cover of this weeks MCN.
Now this, we should have a bet on the next marque to appear, very surprised we've not had a new Vincent. |
