The Halfords Sale has started again, 4L of synthetic 5w30 for £12 with an extra 10% off.

I've just ordered enough to last me the year

I paid £23 elsewhere when this would've done, might pop in and get some more for next time though.

Always good to have it stocked up (I normally get 4 bottles) as it means there's never any waiting to do an oil change when it needs it.

You can even decrease the intervals for changes without being worried about the cost.

Depends what you're comparing it to.

If you mean fully synthetic, then it probably means clutch slip. Still, I really don't see the point in stretching out the life of oil that cheap.

If it's semi-synthetic, then it's always what I've ever used and is what is recommended by the manufacturers of all my bikes, so not going to make it last any longer than what I'm used to.

I will stock up on Boxing Day ( for the car, the bike gets exotic and expensive oil from Oilman that needs changing every five miles.)

Don't know,i do have a trade account but most of the time they don't even ask and give discount anyway, doubt its branch specific,a lot of stuff they sell isn't on the website, they sell to trade so i doubt many garages buy oil in 5l bottles.
