Best enduro bike around IMO. Best option is get an X and put R suspension on it, then twiddle the engine a bit and you get essentially an electric start MX bike.
DRZ can fuck off, what a heavy piece of shit. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. In summery, mattsprattuk is a gobby little sh1tebag, dopehead tw4t, but sadly for all of us, he probably isn't THAT full of sh1te!!

I think in terms of usability, a competition 450 is just too much unless it's on a motocross track.
The pretty much "must have " mods for a 250x are a cam and steel inlet valves. This brings service levels down to that of a regular tappet bike. Takes about an hour or two start to finish on it. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles. 250L is goopd option then, really low running costs too - stupidly long service intervals and 80mpg |
and shit build quality.
250R/X vs 250/230L is night and day.

CRM 250!
Feels as quick as a mates CRF250R. Mine cost £1400, Previous Owner had restored her, engine is great, I cracked the tonne on mine, gets about 30-60MPG, hahahaha! Depends how you ride. Nice and reliable, easy maintenance, and two stroke! Nice and light, suspension feels the mutt's nuts after my TTR, only problem is spinning up the rear wheel on tarmac. You go to wheelie, third gear, clutch in, rev, lean back a bit, dump clutch, wheel-spin down the road instead. And accelerating hard in first and second if it's leant over a bit will cause it to slide.
I say that as if it's some form of monster. It's not, I just have a terrible tyre on the back and a lead right hand. ____________________ Current:1991 Honda MT50 (Soon to be a H100/MTX/MT5 hybrid), 1976 Honda Cub C70, 2005 Honda Varadero 125, 1993 Yamaha TTR250 Open Enduro , 2010 Road Legal Stomp YX140, 1994 Honda CRM 250 MK III, 1999 Cagiva Mito 125, 1992 Honda CB400 Super Four, Stomp T4 230, 1984 Honda H100s, 2009 Sym XS125K
