Belated again. Crying or Very sad

But here it is!

As usual keep photos to 1024px on the longest side, or it'll take an age to load.

I've been waiting Tut Tut Laughing

I've seen a few of these kind of photos floating around the internet so I thought I'd give it a go with baby KLR:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/IMG_6524_zpsb93874fd.jpg

I'll do some more for sure as it was pretty fun and my daughter has a few animal outfits thanks to my compulsion of buying her baby clothes with ears on the hood Laughing

Now get the kid a brown poncho and you have your very own ewok.

EDIT: I'll stick a couple of recent pictures up (although technically from very late last year). Went to Loch Ard canoeing.

Snow on Ben Lomond taken with my waterproof compact casio:
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/canoe/Loch%20Ard%20271214/CIMG2096_zpsec127449.jpg

Lake of Menteith priory:
https://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f216/stinkwheel/canoe/menteith261214/CIMG2052_zps35351d46.jpg

And just to show sometimes good things happen accidentally, my cousin took this one of me freestyling with her point and shoot camera which I'm rather taken with. Looks like it picked up some silly levels from the water.

Took this shot the other day, I don't think it was the best shot of the day but keep coming back to it for some reason, I don't know why as its mostly black with a small puff of smoke at the bottom.

Any ideas why seem to gravitate back to it as I am a little confused.

It nearly follows the compositional arrangement of the spiral or "golden spiral" which is why it might be catching your eye in such a way, if you crop it in you can see it more so, have one below with the spiral overlaid.

I had considered this, but dismissed it due to the fact that it seemed a little far off, maybe I was wrong

I went for a cycle about today and wasn't expecting to take any photos so I didn't take my camera. I did have my phone however and snapped these which I think came out ok:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/001_zps82fbb5ac.jpg

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v331/serenaur/002_zps3be9c1a2.jpg

I did run them through lightroom and I pushed them quite a bit but I'm still fairly impressed with the camera on this phone (Motorolla Moto G 2nd Gen).

showing Lovejoy move through the solar system
got another 90 frames of 45 & 60 seconds to process but should fill the gaps and extend the track

Shows the difference that can be had with a decent camera (although your bird might have slowed up somewhat - IIRC 25mph seems like 90mph on what it's feasting on Wink )

Really amateur compared to what many of you are achieving, but I thought not bad for my cheap little digital:

Derwent fells:

Skiddaw:

Keswick and Skiddaw:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/LakeDistrictJan2015145_zps668f8c92.jpg

Ullswater:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/LakeDistrictJan2015261_zps28626bba.jpg

Nr. Patterdale:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/LakeDistrictJan2015303_zpsdcd740b5.jpg

Between the Kirkstone Pass and Windermere:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/LakeDistrictJan2015317_zpsd6c7dc8a.jpg

I think I'm not bad at composition, but obviously need to upgrade the camera and start learning a bit. Partly, I do it because I keep meaning to get back into painting landscape watercolours, so I try to capture interesting natural light effects and compositions that with a little artistic license can be modified to fit that purpose.

Shots like this may not be great even for composition, but help me to learn techniques such as "lost and found" effect on mountain ridges, where the upper slopes disappear into the clouds and snowfall:

https://i1291.photobucket.com/albums/b550/nicknicklxs/LakeDistrictJan2015275_zps0d84c4c6.jpg

A little creative composition in the foreground however, and it could easily make for a decent painting.
