Does anyone know the standard variator roller weight for a Speedfight 2 100cc?

Looking to buy some aftermarket rollers but the weights available vary considerably from 8g to 14g.

Also, dry or greased variator? Manufacturer recommends greasing but forum users say otherwise.

Thanks,
Sam

Hi Speedfight 100 comes with 2 variations of rollers.
If they are 18 x 14 weight std is 12.8g
If they are 19 x 13.5 weight std is 8.8g
Personally I would use heat resistant grease on the shaft only.
Fit the actual rollers dry to avoid dust etc causing them to stick.
Hope this helps.
Pete

I found useful information at the following link:
https://www.scooterhouse.net/downloads/rolki-razmer-pdf.pdf

Speedfight 1 100cc - 19 x 13.5 weight std is 8.8g
Speedfight 2 100cc - 18 x 14 weight std is 12.8g

It seems my reference in the previous post is wrong. The distinction between the two weights/sizes of rollers is whether the bike is fitted with a catalyst, pre-cat or cat. Pre-cat has lighter rollers, and cat has heavier rollers. Speedfight2 100cc comes in both variants! Anyone know how to tell the difference?

I've resigned myself to having that as the only option Sad . I was hoping to have the parts ready before I dismantled the transmission. But there doesn't seem to be any reliable well of telling whether the scoot is catalysed or not. No one seems to know if you can tell from the shape of the exhaust etc. All we know is that the transition occurred around the year 2000 but was confusingly applied to both the Speedfight1 100cc and Speedfight2 100cc. It's a complete minefield!

Switching the rollers in a scooter is not a big or time consuming job. Pop all the bolts off the transmission cover, gently remove cover, apply a holder tool to the variator, undo the nut and slide off. That's it. You've probably spent more time on research than it takes to pop it open.
