Pattern discs are £75 on https://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/xj_600/91-92/
To double check the disc runout, draw a wavy line on the swept area of the disc using a dark coloured white board marker pen (black works best) then turn the front wheel without applying the brakes. If all of the marker is wiped off, then it may well be that the pistons in the caliper are not moving back into the caliper when the brake lever is released. If some of the marker is removed by the pad removing it,then it will show the highs and lows of the surface of the disc.
Some people say that the disc can be skimmed. But if the thickness of the disc is already on the borderline of the service limit specified in the manual, then it is better to replace them as a pair. This is worth doing if you intend to keep the bike ____________________ Just talk bikes. What else is there?
