I got a pair of IXS gore tex/leather touring gloves. Despite being expansive (~80 quid) I can definitely tell the difference with the 30 cheapo "waterproof" pair. I've been under quite heavy rain with them and they always remained dry inside
I wear them with a pair of undergloves and they slide on perfectly and protectionwise they have CE cat.2 level 1 marking for what it's worth.
Also importantly despite being drenched a few times they still smell okay whereas the cheap pair just smells like an old pair of socks. ____________________ DAS passed: 21/07/14

Maybe of interest; https://www.visordown.com/product-features/tested-sub-100-all-weather-gloves/21734.html#historysub
Although perhaps not as i've been using spada enforcers the last few years and the they reckon:
Test 1 Resistance test: 10/10
Test 2 Cold test: 1/10
Test 3 Waterproofing: 0/10
Cold test - yes on their own they're a bit cold in seriously low temps, but with a pair of thin ski-thermal gloves inside i've never had problems.
Waterproofing - they've withstood hours of heavy rain on the motorway without leaking noticably. They're not 100% waterproof, but for 50 quid - if you have a tight budget and get some thermal liners; i'd recommend them unless you're doing serious mileage many hours a day |

My gloves were from ALDI for about £15, bone dry and warm down to about 6/7c , I have a pair of thermal liners on the way as at current temps of around 3c my hands are frozen after 45 mins going to work!
They are armoured though, and have been ridden through proper downpours with no problems, they are also nearly a year old and haven't noticed any issues with the threading or anything ____________________ Bikes : HN125 (sold) - Lexmoto ZSX 125 (Stolen!) - Currently bimbling on : '10 YBR |
