It is kind of "Biking News & Issues" - I was directed to it through FEMA'S website. The same people that run the Riderscan survey about motorcycle safety and are 'involved' with lots of EU parliamentary business about motorcycles safety bla bla bla.
I just found it amusing they also provide access to document saying you can 'smell diesel' before you hit it and moose signs guarantee a 'moose crossing' amongst other advice.
Perhaps not serious enough for this section; I apologise |

A lorry managed to dump a good amount of it's uncapped fuel tank along a South Devon road back in October last year and not only could you smell it for about a fortnight afterwards, it was bloody slippery for about ten days - and covered about 1/2 mile in length. |
Maybe you won't smell the odd spot, but worse spills you definitely can. I reported one spill to a local authority some years ago, after going to work in the morning, and to their credit it was cleaned up by the time I went home that evening. It was strong enough to make my eyes sting. Not gallons of the stuff, but someone had left a good-sized slick, spread for some yards up the road. ____________________ Chickenystripgeezer's Biking Life (Latest update 19/10/18) Belgium, France, Italy, Austria tour 2016 Picos de Europa, Pyrenees and French Alps tour 2017 Scotland Trip 1, now with BONUS FEATURE edit, 5/10/19, on page 2 Scotland Trip 2 Luxembourg, Black Forest, Switzerland, Vosges Trip 2017
