125 Rental

Have my CBT on the 11th of March, but then don't have my Mod 2 until 2nd of April - possibly later if the DVLA won't let me book a theory.

Just wondering if anyone knows of any places in the North West, preferably Cheshire, that will rent me a 125? Just so I can get a bit of practice on the road. I've had a Google but no luck

Alternatively does anyone fancy lending me a 125 and I'll do your dishes for a week or something?

but there are plenty of places that hire 125's but i would expect a hefty deposit(oh matron)and about £50 to £70 a day

You can buy mine for the equivalent of 10 days hire bike as quoted earlier.

It would probably be easier and cheaper to buy a 125cc bike and then sell it when your finished.

Get a cg125 and then flog it on ebay when your finished.

i actually posted an offer to sell my 125, but it's not legal for a test due to its condition. Sorry...

Although it may be a little more of a PIA buying and then selling a 125, it will probably end up as your cheapest option in the long run. A girl I know did this and ended up selling her 125 for £300 more than she paid for it a couple of months later.

but then you also have the hassle of insurance and tax

and will the policy they have allow to upgrade to a bigger bike after tests or will they need to cancel and buy another policy

I hired a CG125 from the people who I did my CBT with (Ace in Bristol). It wasn't cheap and the deposit was £500. But I looked after the bike and got my deposit back.

In short, call the school doing your CBT and ask them, if no joy, then call other local schools.
