Hey bcf, any recommendations for what chain lube to use? I commute 60 miles a day and I find my current titanium gel stuff just isn't staying on too great. Only done 1000 miles (had the bike a little over three weeks) and I've already got some pretty bad surface rust on the chain, which I have tonight wire brushed off and relubed. Any advice on treating the rust properly would also be great, Cheers!

One of them scottoiler things? How easy is it to set up and such cos I'm pretty mechanically useless.

engine oil.......and wipe off excess, have been for the last 13 years, never fails to let me down. An auto oiler like a scott oiler would be good for high distance riding

EP90 gear oil. It's heavier and less likely to fling plus it's cheap. Thumbs Up

I have a Scottoiler and a PDOiler. Of the two, the PDOiler is easier to install and set up. They both do the job though. Thumbs Up

If you fancy a ride to Bristol I will happily fit one for you if you supply it. Show you how to use it and set it up etc.

I used to use chainsaw oil, perfectly fine just very gunky.

I use a Scottoiler nowadays, top notch chain is perfectly lubed up and I ride through all the 'orrible shite the British winter throws at us. Oh and no fling either, because it's properly set up....unlike a lot of bellends that whinge about them.

I'll try some engine oil/maybe some of that wax until funding permits a scottoiler I think.

Clean engine oil in a scottoiler is my preferred lubricant/lubricator.

I am working my way through the 10L or so of cheap diesel car oil I bought when I owned a cheap diesel car, but never bothered to use.
