I use sintered more bite to them, can't say that I have particularly notice excessive disc wear on any bike I've owned ,but they do allegedly increase wear on the discs.

gg's are horses, innit? Laughing

HH sintered's for me. Tried the organics once and they wore through in no time at all, whereas I've never suffered the catastrophic effects of disc wear that HH haters will harp on about.

HH for the front either for the rear.

I got 70,000 miles out of a set of discs using HH pads the whole time. I really wouldn't worry about wear.

Sintered on the front, standard on the back is my preference. Although the last pads that got replaced gave more feel than the current EBC fit, and just seemed to last forever. I rather suspect they were genuine Yam, and I will go back to that at some point, see what I reckon then.

Honda OEM pads, which are generally sintered, at least on the bikes I ride.

I usually go OEM, mostly because you get twice the amount of material than other makes, and only a tenner more in some cases.

GG for me.

HH are alright but they need some heat in them to work properly.

Fine when you're cracking on in summer, but a bit wooden when you're commuting in winter.

Sintered on the front because 1) it gets a lot more use/wear and 2) because I generally want more/better grip there.

Normal on the rear as 1) it usually hardly gets used and 2) I really don't want too much grip on the back wheel as bad things can happen.

SBS HH in the front, never use the back so it probably still has the original Brembo pads in from 2005.

Which was my thinking with using HH's on the front and trying GG's on the rear. I do actually use my rear brake a fair bit - try overcooking bends and using your fronts!!! The GG's lasted less than a year and I thought the odd noises from the rear must have been issues with the anti-squeal stuff as the pads were all but new.
No, the pads wore out and trashed the disc too - only time I've ever had to replace a disc.

Whilst the HH's may have a better bite, which most people don't want on the rear, the Zed has a single pot on the rear and with it's 250KG weight, when I use the rear it still doesn't feel overly positive. Grab the fronts and they will lock up every time!

I recommend you avoid buying Carbone Lorraine HH pads, they don't last long and the brake dust they generate is ridiculous.

The HH shouldn't need too much heat in them, the letters are a reference to the braking friction created, H being the highest. If you just had a H rated pad that would mean that they work when hot (normally racing pads i believe), the rating HH means they work when hot or cold, obviously they will be better when hot though Thumbs Up

It's just been my experience of HH vs GG.

Maybe I just prefer the feel of the latter.
