Fitting exhaust honda cbr 125 2008

Hi, first of all apologies if i'm breaking any forum rules or posting this in the wrong section, this is my first time posting.

Secondly, i know next to nothing about bikes...

Basically i've bought a new downpipe for my bike, i've removed the old one (that looked like it would crumble into dust any second); i just can't seem to remove this final piece from the manifold (see attached picture, outlined in red). I assume this must be removed as the new downpipe i have bought has this same piece welded on. Is it just stuck on because it's so rusty or is it attached with something?

Bizarro. It looks like the crud has become structural. Get in there with a wire brush and clean the heck out of it?

Is that the remains of the gasket? Can it just be broken up and pulled out? But yeah - wire brush will either shift it or let you see what you're dealing with.

Diagram here shows there should only be a flange (that's loose on your new downpipe?) that slots onto those 2 studs with a gasket inside?

Looks more like the end of the old exhaust is stuck in the head !!

thanks for all the help so far everyone. ive been applying some 3in1 penetrant to it, i read on some other forums that could help loosen it. i applied it twice yesterday then once again today and had another go at removing it. i tried wedging something inside and tried to work it out and i also tried the delicate approach of hitting it with a hammer as someone on another site suggested lol. it still wont budge. i'm going to get a wire brush and then try applying more penetrant, hopefully by brushing it it'll clean it up a bit to allow the penetrant to get in and do its stuff.
Also can someone confirm that it is the entire piece i highlighted in red that should be removed from the manifold? as in what appears to be the (header?) of the downpipe that's snapped off? i assumed so as that part is welded on to the new downpipe i bought (see attatched picture)

If you have/know someone with a blowtorch you could try getting it bloody hot.... then try smack it out.

Had this more than once! Verrrrryyyy common on CBR125s. I struggled for a while but the best thing i found to do is to cut a slot with a dremel type tool through it and then give it a good whack with a chisel and a big hammer. The second you've broken the corrosion away it'll pop out in seconds

I would try to cut slots in it with the end of an hacksaw blade - top and bottom, left and right - then use a small cold chisel or centre-punch to try and tap the quarters inwards.
