Hi all,

I m looking for a new exhaust for my 2001 Hornet 600. Has anyone got any recommendations?

Im not King Chav, but I do fancy a l little more noise when filtering. The current sewing machine sound just doesn't quite cut it.

Also, what would need to be done regarding engine set up to get the most out of it?

I also had a Beowulf exhaust on my Hornet, so can vouch for them - sounded great Thumbs Up

Other than that, the Scorpion system I had on the CB1300 was great too.

You can keep the baffles in if you want to tone it down a bit Wink

I had a stubby Micron on my Hornet, with a Blue Flame link pipe.

Can inlet was too small for the pipe initially but opened it out a bit and clamped it on. It worked and sounded great. Not to everyone's taste but hey Laughing

Got a like new (used less than 1000 miles use) mivv x-cone hornet 99-02 I am putting on ebay now (will show link in a min).

Best looking for the hornet (IMO) and sounded awesome, I kept the baffle as seriously loud without (used the bike early and like my neighbours so had to be in for that).

Let me know if your interested....

In the process, hands down the best exhaust for the hornet. I got it new and really rate mivv cans.

Not mine as this is 03+ model but the exhaust.

Also, following your asking about what to get done to get the most out of it, a k&n air filter will also help with airflow and due to being carbs, didn't seem to suffer from flatspots or ruin air/fuel kid like I had my speed four, which they couldn't remap and being fuel injected, didn't run half as nice as hornet did.

I just said to someone in another topic to stop taking pictures of it and go out and ride. Dare I be so hypocritical?

Looks good! Glad you enjoy it and I found with the baffle was about the right sound, really sounds lovely in my opinion!!

Have you got a new air filter? I had a K&N on my hornet (RIP Sad )
