Survived the annual BCF Mayday run. Saw some nice bikes, some good roads and the company wasn't too shabby either Smile

I took the TomTom out for its debut ride today and rode across to Aberaeron while using the Winding Route feature. Some of the roads that we rode across were incredible while others couldn't have seen a vehicle in the past year!

Went to Into the Valley last weekend at Dalton Estate near Beverley, t'was a fairly good do bar the pissing down rain on the journey back which also collided with the Tour De Yorkshire Evil or Very Mad

Arrival (after journeying on my own due to lost ticket delays!)

Went to Market Weighton whilst the rest went to the pub in the tractor (you get tired of spending all your time getting drunk at rallies), got tailed unreasonably close by a unmarked police BMW all the way into town which kind of ruined the moment, here outside Dalton Church I think

An ok rally in all, not as exciting as the last and overprice in my mind but ok probably won't go again for that purpose, Dalton & Beverley were beautiful though.

I love it when I have Monday's off work... so today I went for a ride along the Suffolk coastline. Only remembered to get two obligatory 'for BCF' shots of the bike, none depicting the beaches of Thorpeness or Aldeburgh where I was sitting for large chunks of the day.

Thankfully there was a small breeze otherwise I'd have cooked in my leather jeans...I think it tipped the scales at 24 degrees...phew! Cool

Hello together,

me and my better half have been out for a daytrip (200 miles) in the alpine upland and visited the show cheese dairy of the Emmental, the world wide known cheese with the holes Laughing

From there we rode small singletrack roads in this region and had the chance to take a picture stop with the beautiful outlook to the Bernese Oberland Mountains:

https://i.imgur.com/aUKsRC8.jpg

It was a good day without rain and a panoramic view all around the tour.

Greetings

Took the SV up to 'that there London' to The Bikeshed

45 miles up the A3. London commute is not the most fun you can have on a bike. Sure it wasn't the utter and complete madness that it is on a weekday, but it was still heavy going. 90mph everywhere, mirrors folded in and filtering like a ferret.....Still took 80mins (did include a fuel stop though).
The only real amusement came from the traffic light GP.

More amusement came from the fact that the queue for those who had bought tickers was 1/2 mile long. There was zero queue for those who had not bought tickets, so we just strolled right in to the ticket kiosk, paid £15 and were in.

The place was rammed with beards, hipster shades and canvas shoes. There were some nice bikes and nice owners.

The place was heaving and I didn't get many halfway decent photos.

Having been to Tobacco Dock a few times I was expecting a big show, but all of downstairs was empty and off-limits. It was a bit sad really, dozens of boutique shops closed and out of business.
There is a large statue of me in the entrance and I was hoping to say hello as I was 12 the last time I saw it, but it was not possible.

I reckon there was only 50-75 bikes there and I got round everything in 45 minutes. Went back round but by this time you could barely move, so after a grand total of 80mins I bailed and went home.

My favourite of the show:

Found this VFR outside, strangely not on fire, which was weird.

It was next to the Thames though, so the owner had planned ahead.

Then went to Triumphs open day celebrating 25yrs at Hinkley. Drank much free coffee and went for a beer. Then changed the oil + filter on the SV.
