I took the TomTom out for its debut ride today and rode across to Aberaeron while using the Winding Route feature. Some of the roads that we rode across were incredible while others couldn't have seen a vehicle in the past year!

No piccie of the bike, but I roasted in the sun at The White Horse, Tattingstone, Suffolk at UXB bike show. Got a lovely photo of a Chevy pick-up parked outside. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

I love it when I have Monday's off work... so today I went for a ride along the Suffolk coastline. Only remembered to get two obligatory 'for BCF' shots of the bike, none depicting the beaches of Thorpeness or Aldeburgh where I was sitting for large chunks of the day.
Thankfully there was a small breeze otherwise I'd have cooked in my leather jeans...I think it tipped the scales at 24 degrees...phew! ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Hello together,
me and my better half have been out for a daytrip (200 miles) in the alpine upland and visited the show cheese dairy of the Emmental, the world wide known cheese with the holes
From there we rode small singletrack roads in this region and had the chance to take a picture stop with the beautiful outlook to the Bernese Oberland Mountains:

It was a good day without rain and a panoramic view all around the tour.

Took the SV up to 'that there London' to The Bikeshed
45 miles up the A3. London commute is not the most fun you can have on a bike. Sure it wasn't the utter and complete madness that it is on a weekday, but it was still heavy going. 90mph everywhere, mirrors folded in and filtering like a ferret.....Still took 80mins (did include a fuel stop though).
The only real amusement came from the traffic light GP.
More amusement came from the fact that the queue for those who had bought tickers was 1/2 mile long. There was zero queue for those who had not bought tickets, so we just strolled right in to the ticket kiosk, paid £15 and were in.
The place was rammed with beards, hipster shades and canvas shoes. There were some nice bikes and nice owners.
The place was heaving and I didn't get many halfway decent photos.
Having been to Tobacco Dock a few times I was expecting a big show, but all of downstairs was empty and off-limits. It was a bit sad really, dozens of boutique shops closed and out of business.
There is a large statue of me in the entrance and I was hoping to say hello as I was 12 the last time I saw it, but it was not possible.
I reckon there was only 50-75 bikes there and I got round everything in 45 minutes. Went back round but by this time you could barely move, so after a grand total of 80mins I bailed and went home.

My favourite of the show:

Found this VFR outside, strangely not on fire, which was weird.

It was next to the Thames though, so the owner had planned ahead.

Then went to Triumphs open day celebrating 25yrs at Hinkley. Drank much free coffee and went for a beer. Then changed the oil + filter on the SV.
