are you all little light bastard or something?
and weight shouldnt be a proble, if you can get your feet on the floor, and the balance right, youll be fine, when moving, you wont notice the weight much. ____________________ www.wilcollinsphoto.co.uk |

Agree with the above, balance is the key, those extra kilo's are not the problem, it's the extra power you'll have to be more careful with! ____________________ Old bikes >>> https://www.bikepics.com/members/cc123/ |

Hi
I'm 5ft 7'ish and have no problems with my Hornet. Both feet can firmly touch the floor and balance is not a problem (even with my 12St plus bulk!).
The Hornet is a very light bike (I found it felt much better balanced than the CB500 I did my DAS on) and seems to have a low centre of gravity. You won't have a problem believe me! The only thing I would say is do watch out for the small front wheel, it does make the bike drop in to corners pretty damn quick, but this is part of the fun! You soon get used to it.
In terms of price, look at mine........

I paid £2300 for it last April (private sale). It's a 1998 'S reg' and came with Micron can, flyscreen, crash bobbins and mini indicators (all the original parts too). I think it had something like 11,000 on the clock. The price you're quoting seems high to me.
Hope this helps!

Isn't the XL taller than a hornet? I think you'll find the hornet an absolute breeze to handle. Put it in first gear and glide through the traffic! ____________________ Current bike: VTR1000F Firestorm. Previous: Firestorm (written off) - XJ600 Divvy - NSR125 - DT125 and a load of offroaders. |
