I've seen lots of these sorts of things being filmed/photographed before through work. Generally the expert doesn't have much input into the setup of said photograph, the photographer/film director will more or less instruct them into position until they're happy with the shot.

I recently became a Doctor for doing nothing at all.

Went to bed on the 4th of March and woke up a Doctor.

I can understand some people may be a tad miffed about this.

It is a "courtesy" title bestowed upon you by your own organisation isn't it?

Yes. Just like medical Doctors who have also only done a bachelors degree. A real doctor has done a PhD.

I'm not going to use it though. Because traditionally surgeons in the UK use the title of Mister and also because it confuses the foreigns.

In fairness they would say they have done two. Although by this logic I should also be called Dr Swampy (and Borg could also get away with 'professor').

They would be wrong if they said that though.

They have done one degree over five years just like I have. They would need to do another year to qualify for two degrees.

You're not a real doctor until you've published and defended a thesis.

I think the qualifier is a level 3 NVQ.
I should look at upgrading that to IEng really...
