Sitting here in my hotel squinting at my tiny smart phone, thought it said invincible, which confused me |

Not sure if I'm lucky or just doing something right (I'm inclined to think the latter) but I don't remember a single incident where a person has pulled across the front of me from a junction in 9 years of riding.
I don't wear Hi-Vis or anything like that either, and the majority of my riding is in London or it's suburbs.
I'm not suggesting it doesn't happen, but if it happens to somebody so often that they need to actively change their riding mindset I'd expect there are other factors at play and that darwinism will ensure that soon enough they'll stop experiencing issues while riding altogether.
Watch me get splatted next time I'm out on the bike now ____________________ I am a bellend, I am a man of constant sorrow, I am a gummy bear, I am a rock. |

On the way to work this morning, going down the dual carriageway in the second lane, traffic moving around 50mph in both lanes.
I was next to a car pretty much at the drivers window (and for those that have seen my bike will vouch it isn't quiet), it decided to drift into my lane, needless to say she got a nice size 10 dent in the door, literally scared me shitless as I had no where to go.
So yeah, must be invisible. ____________________ Previously owned: Kawasaki KH125, Suzuki GP125, Suzuki GX 125, Honda CB125 TDC '83, Honda ntv 600, Kawasaki ER5, Kawasaki ZZR600, Aprilia RSV 1000 Mille

To avoid the very real possibility of a fatal logic error or infinite feedback loop, I now have some hi-vis. So far, so good, mind you. |

Part of it is that we have so few bikers in the UK compared to other parts of the world, that the car drivers don't
look out for us because we're so uncommon. I'm in France at the moment and its getting on for 50/50
here, I'm driving here and they certainly keep you on your toes, so many scooters and mopeds and often
ridden quite gung ho. Last year I visited Malaysia and it was the same there, with as many as 5 on-board too.
Our limo driver who drove us to our resort said that on average in Malaysia there are 14 biker deaths a day
It's just a complete free for all over there though, here in France there seems to be more regulation and funnily
enough one of the very first things I saw after we picked up our car at Nice airport was a big training pad like
we have at home, Sat in the traffic I got a chance to watch someone do the slalom and it seemed quite fast
compared to ours but the cones were spaced wider and not in a straight line. Lots of bikes on the pad though. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
