As a general rule-of-thumb when exact clearances are unknown and can't be found, I use 0.006" for the Inlet, and 0.008" for the exhaust, when the engine is hot. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

Adjust when cold, check when hot.
This method is only ever used when the exact clearances aren't known and cannot be found, and is done to ensure that you have a safe working clearance when the engine is at normal operating temperature.
If you know what the clearances should be (and the OP doesn't), they are usually given for a cold engine, then obviously you work on a cold engine. ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)
