tl;dr version -
Geared motorcycle sales are up 23.1% up over June 2014. I think that deserves an
Mopeds are down a bit, scooters are only up 7.9% but we'll have to find some way to live with that.
651cc-1000cc is up 36.6%. and once again for luck
Few surprises in the class and capacity leaders. R1200GS, Harley Sportster 883, PCX 125.
MT-07 rules the 651-1000 roost (the ABS version alone selling nearly 3 times as many as the ER6F) and for a wonder, the top selling "supersport" isn't the YZF R125 but the CBR125R.
Honda, Yamaha, BMW, Triumph take the usual top 4, but who's that at number 5. Suzuki. Time to bust out the again. Kawasaki have slipped a bit - I guess focussing on a bunch of 250s and 300s and a not-a-cruiser hasn't been quite the winning gambit they'd have hoped for.
But smiles (mostly) all round. Bring on that swathe of sweet, sweet low mileage nearly-new MT-07s. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

That is a good deal if you are after any of the bikes on the list.
Did the deal include the big Gixxers and the busa before? ____________________ Triumph Trophy Launch Edition |

Lenders love it, marques love that juicy lock-in. If it gets more people on to bikes that they can't afford, it's all good. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Because Essex?
There's got to be a point where you reckon you'll never be out of debt, so you might as well enjoy whatever people are daft enough to lend you.
I'm really not sure how much that applies in the bike world, although I'd imagine that most R1200GS are on the never-never. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Thanks for the link.
I've seen the monthly stats from that site before, and they're really interesting. Do you have any idea where I can find more detailed information? Ideally the low-level data sitting behind those summarised pdfs?
For example, I can see the MT-07 was the best seller in the 651-1000cc class, but it would be interesting to see the second-best and third-best sellers, for example.
Any information anyone has would be appreciated please! |

Well, no, of course not, because if you keep financing then you'll be in debt all your life renting things rather than spending what you've already earned to own them outright.
Fret not, our entire economy is predicated on that now.

Sorry, I missed that question.
And sorry again, but no. If you want more detailed info, you have to pay the MCIA for access to it. I've not seen anyone re-publishing it en masse - presumably the license would prohibit that anyway. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.
