I wonder what you think about it?
IMO is easy to point solution from your chair, but me personally think the guy has handled that well. I am not sure if it was me I may be under that truck.
And the post accident is brilliant hat off to him. This guy is great.
IB4:
Usually when sh.t happens I am known to hit the turn signal instead of the horn
EDIT:
IB4 #2:
Do not blame the truck driver too much, visibility is ZERO there are FIVE side mirrors nice idea of Boris Johsnon to have cycle safety...ermmmmm??

I think he did exactly the right thing. Jump off the bike and GTFO.
Classic example of why not to horn. He'd probably still have been sounding it as the wagon went over his leg.
There was actually an unusually high amount of visability on the approach to that junction too due to an open firestation yard on the right.

EDIT: It doesn't excuse his vlogging behaviour though. Maybe his camera slowed down his wits thereby preventing him accelerating out of the way in time. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. While his view IS obscured by the mirrors, he still did nothing about it, he knows the blindspot is there and he's a professional driver who is trained and expected to drive to a higher standard than every-day drivers.
The A-pillar on my van is rediculous, you can loose a whole car in it. That's why I lean forwards and look round it so I can see where the fuck I'm going. I position the vehicle so I cover that blind spot.
I've even landed up in a position at a sharply angled fork in the road before where I've had to stop and physically open the door to stand up on the step and look over the top of the van to see if anything is coming
You could well argue the wagon driver should have swung out more before turning in to clear his blindspot OR simply stopped and looked before he turned in. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. Random question but why is he checking the road is clear on the right to make a quick turn instead of looking at the hazard that’s visible and indicating in front of him. Looks like a busy main road from which the truck is indicating from. So in that little glance down the road you could easily have another vehicle forcing you to stop.
Personally I'd like to think that I would of slowed down a bit approaching almost to a crawl. Seeing that it's a narrow entrance and that the truck hasn't really changed his course so going have to make a wide turning.
Though I really can't say what I would fully do as I wasn't in that situation. ____________________ CB125>CG125>GN125>ER5>K100RS>R1100RS>K100RS
