Can't remove thermostat? and bolt.

I need some advice on how i should go about removing this here:
It seems extremely stiff to me and i dont want to break it!

While i am working in the next few days am i okay just to run the bike without the big golden bolt and thermo? It's about a 15 minute drive each way to work?

placer the head in some hot water and watch the thermostate open, or not, check temp and see temp stamp on thermostate.....

Some Yee-Haaaw may have used a sealant on the thread.
Heat will get it loose.

Sister's/Mum's/Wife's/Partner's hair drier on II probably wont melt the aluminimumimum head.

Yeah, some idiot( totally not me ) decided he would run 25 jet sizes too small, ended up exploding the top end give or take.

Will try a hair dryer!

Here's one for you.

How many thermostats does it take to change a bolt?

Real answer: Place it onto a vice. Heat up the bottom and top of the bolt using blowtorch for about 30 seconds and spray some GT85 on that too. Then Remove bolt normally using socket.
