No, because either way the treasury wouldn't be getting it.
However, Clarkson & Co. will be paying tax on their earnings...

Thats like saying you pay your VED and only use 1 road when you have many many many other roads available to you.

I might be mistaken here, but isn't the tax fiddle used by Google, Amazon, Ebay, Facebook, Starbucks etc, purely allowable because of our EU membership?
I suspect the "Double Irish" and "Dutch Sandwich" tax avoidance is an EU thing, where a company can register anywhere in the EU (Ireland has low corporation tax) and trade anywhere else in the EU?
If we left in the EU, surely we could enforce out own taxation laws on these companies to pay UK tax if they trade here? ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

Libraries is probably the wrong word for them. Universities have libraries, and they contain books, and people use them to study. Public libraries mostly contain Eastern Europeans and homeless people, all there using the internet or sitting around, and the odd pensioner reading a book.
You're going to pay? Fair enough. I'm not. I'm going to torrent it.

Yes it is the EU's fault, although we do have our own tax havens (Jersey, Gibraltar), and the City of London is probably a leading centre for advice on dodging tax. |
