 |

I'm curious whether this can be done, I can get parts machined to adapt mountings etc but the historic R6 forum threads say too much work to make it worthwhile in their opinion.
My problem is I love the looks of the 5eb, but the 5sl is apparently the better model.
I'm a n00b, casually asking why the blocks can't be swapped? ____________________ Roger wrote: Women don't get damp for clingy puppies. Get some better happy pills, hit the gym & buy a medallion the size of a dinner plate. Job done |

No, they're totally different bikes. One's fuel injected, ones carbed etc.
There is no way unless you had two complete crashed bikes in your garage that this would be cost effective.
You'd need a loom, ecu blah blah blah from one and it's just not worth it. ____________________ CBT Passed: 30/08/2009, Theory Passed: 31/08/2010, Mod 1 Passed: 6/9/2010, Mod 2 Passed: 13/09/2010. Restriction ended 13/09/2012.

Wot G said.
I was one of the naysayers on Facebook dude, simply because I think you'd regret trying to courier on an R6.
That said, you can pick up a nice 5EB for under 2k, and that would leave plenty for a more courier friendly bike ____________________ Past - 1988 honda revere 600, 1996 kawasaki gpz500s, 1999 Yamaha R6

Old Thread Alert!
