Hi, Having problems engaging side stand. I can see problem it is the small pin that stops engine if stand is still down. The pin is bent upwards so I cannot engage stand to full lock. Can I bend it back down ? Or get new part? Are these expensive and easy to fit? My bike DIY is pretty basic !!!

They are easy to fit, a new one isn't as cheap as it should be £50 from AJ Sutton, you may be able to get a cheap one second hand.

Best bet is to take it off clean it up and see if you can get it working again. Failing that you can just bridge the wires to bypass it.
