This. Don't get caught out and use the cycle stuff.

It is not heavy / thick enough.

I have this in rear of 125. after glass punctured it. No issues at all.

I also have put it in several of her punctured tyres on car.
Again. No issues.

Before you chuck sealant in there, try changing the valve core. Thumbs Up

if it's that slow you may need bead sealant

None. Sealant is shit, often does not work. Do job properly and find the leak.

Pump to 45psi, apply soap water around tire, bead and valve. This will show where.

Remove tire, check internal damage, plug puncture, give rim a quick clean then either bead sealer or paint**, replace rubber valves every time, they perish and only cost 20p

** paint should be given time to fully dry, solvents are not great for tire life.

I have used Slime for the last eight years, I changed a rear on a road bike and found evidence of four punctures it had stopped. The Badger has it only in the front tyre to add a little weight to keep it on the floor Mr. Green

Soo Kramdra... Thumbs Up

Do the soap/valve/etc test, when it/if it returns 'nothing', that may be wheel corrosion affecting sealing against the bead. TBH, I have not heard of this ailment afflicting the FZS, yet.
The valve may be new, but that don't mean it was fitted correctly.
Have you whacked a speed hump? I have bent 2 Ducati fronts this way. One rear on a kerb, 'gentle' crash...
If the above tests do not verify, slime/gloop/greenshit will not help, and will very likely piss off whoever removes/replaces your tyre.

I feel your pane, bro.. I is filling air every fortnight.

It will almost always show, even very small leaks. If not, that is why you get the tire off, clean up the bead and give it a decent coat of paint, wait a week for it to harden before fitting tyre. If you cant wait, use bead sealer each time, its not expensive.

If the puncture is in the centre of the tyre, get it fixed properly. The other stuff is only for getting you home.

If it's in the side wall, new tyre.

Get the right grade of Slime, it differs for tubed and untubed tyres.

Any joy? I have the same issue on my 125 where the rim wasn't sealed properly during the last tyre change. Taking the tyre off seems a faff for what is a very small loss of pressure (~10PSI per week)...

Just fix the leak. No biggie and a lot safer.

I now too have a slow puncture somewhere in my rear tyre. It's getting to the end of its life so will be replaced soon.

How do tyre places appreciate having the rim full of this gunky stuff? Do they complain or is it common enough for it to be encountered often?

I only ask because for some reason, my head has a (possibly invented) memory of tyre people complaining about all the goo coating the wheel rims of cars.

From my Goldwing days when I had sealant in my tyres some places would not touch it. Others charged you a surcharge to change your tyre.

That was many years ago mind. I wouldn't use the stuff now. AA card and transport to a bike/tyre shop if the get you home repair kit doesn't work.

As I feared. I'll just keep topping up til I can get to a tyre shop for a new one.

Theres a good chance they will just fit it as is, with most of the dried stuff in there. Or charge extra to clean it... Some might not care but its not exactly a well paid profession.

I don't think I'd want to ride on a tyre that had been punctured four separate times unless it was professionally repaired each time...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.
