No fuel to plug :(

Evening all,

Was wondering if I could pick your brains, my friends Pulse Lightspeed 125 has no fuel getting to cylinder, carb fills up as I can empty float bowl from screw underneath, havent tried a bit of fuel down plug hole yet as its typical cornish weather again!!

Ive removed the carb and cleaned jets and passages out but noticed when assembled and ful,l no fuel squirts out of intake hole when throttle opened? Anyone got any advice??

How the heck do you manage see into the intake when the throttle is opened to determine fuel movement???

New fuel in the tank or skanky old stuff?

I meant on the bench, no fuel coming out of carb when throttle opened.

Fresh fuel yesterday, entire fuel system flushed

Just whacked some fuel down the plug hole, still no fire, tried 3 times still no luck, guessing weak spark then??

Unlikely, you've probably just flooded it.

Just opening the throttle whilst the carb body is on the bench is not going to result in fuel flow unless you've got a very swanky vacuum set-up on the bench which creates a venturi effect? If you have I'd love to see the pics!!

Have you checked the spark? (undo plug, reconnect it to HT lead, ground plug to engine - keep body parts clear - then crank engine, observe spark colour, report back Smile

Success to a degree, ignition coil defective ordered a new one as spark faint blue
