Hyosung GV125 loses power frequently

Hi All, just bought a Hyosung GV125 aquillia started riding and see that it loses power very frequently. The bike starts good with no problem. When it starts losing power it sounds as if it's going to go off that's when I have to go a bit easy on the throttle, and shift to a lower gear, but the power loss still continues. Infrequently it wakes up but then the power goes down again. What could the problem be.
Also to mention, the fuel tap has got jammed on RES, could it be something stuck in there stopping the fuel flow?
Missed to mention It is a 2007 make.

Very likely I'd be draining the tank and whipping the tap off for a look.

drain tank, replace with good fuel - try bike

might be worth checking how rusty the tank is inside too

also, rust an crap maybe blocking the filter (if there is any fitted)

I'd be taking off the carb bowl/s to clean them. The rust and slime balls of the water/petrol mixture might still be there. Randomly getting sucked into the jet and blocking it.
