So coming home tonight my Volvo t5 started to make some strange noises from the motor and was gradually loosing power.just about limped it home when it completely died.left it a few hrs and went out to see if it would fire up.its turning over just.on inspection I have noticed a lot of oil around one of the spark plugs where they screw in ..i know it was not there last week due to changing the plugs..any ideas or is it fucked it's the 2006 2.5 turbo with a polestar tune..

Find out where the leak is coming from. It might just be the rocker cover gasket leaking. Oil around the plugs can cause misfiring causing lack of power.

It's a lot of oil looks like it's coming through the plug threads themselves..rocker gasket is bone dry

Then you have either stripped the threads or not tightened then up enough.

Threads are fine..that doesn't explain. Why there's oil coming out the cylinder through the plug hole though...

Spark plugs have a sealing washer so there shouldn't be anything coming out of there. It may be that the head has cracked between a plug and valve, this is repairable but not cheap.

any signs of damage to the ceramic part, if the threads are all ok its the only place it can really get out.

I think sic pup is onto something seems to be a common issue with the heads cracking Sad .also the cylinder liners are known to crack.looks like it's head off for closer inspection.

We have some really good enginge builders and engineering company that can do the work. If it's not repairable I'll get a new one. Might be worth getting it gas flowed and ported.might even upgrade the cams and valve springs as well..
