It's standard on some Audis, they had a good shot of it on a R8 on Top Gear a little while back and I saw it on a new TT today.
The new mondeo has it too https://youtu.be/pXwFAC_7sJc |

I think it's mega cool It may even inspire Audi owners to use their indicators for a change so other people can see their fancy flashy lights. ____________________ KTM 990 SMT & Suzuki DR-Z 400 SM |

Drove a 2011 Ford Mustang across half of America which had similar rear indicators as standard fit. I think LED
technology in car lighting is a very cool thing. Audi are also experimenting with Laser technology in car
lighting too.

Btw,my 2009 Audi does the dim DRL when indicating thing too. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

There's a guy on our street got them on his car.
His mum only lets him out in it after he comes home from nursery school though.

Yard Lights.
There's a lot of fekirs who have their yard lights pointed out to the fekin road so you can't see a bludy thing when driving towards them.
Something needs to be done. ____________________ Disclaimer: The comments above may be predicted text and not necessarily the opinion of MCN. |

I wonder what it will be like when these modern newfangled motors are 15-20 years old and filter down to the my price level.... As it stands most late 90s to early 00s cars are relatively simple, easy to work on and parts are plentiful.
I seems to me kind of like you're not meant to repair modern cars as such: the "ideal customer" from the automakers perspective would lease a car for 3-4 years then trade in for another new model, with the car always in warranty period so getting spares is never too much of a problem.
I'd also hazard a guess to say that with new tech emerging almost year on year, production runs for a given model are relatively small, so finding spares in a scrappy for that will fit the exact sub-model/spec-level may well be hard too.
I feel like late90s-early00s was "peak vehicle" in lots of ways, cars/bikes had got to a good level of reliability and performance but were still mostly fixable by the home mechanic. It makes me want to buy a diesel 205 is good nick, waxoyl the shit out of it and buy stockpile 30 years of service parts.
EDIT:
Also what the christ happened to diesel engines? They used to be reliable enough to chug along forever, to the point where you'd expect the car to rust out long before the engine died. Now they seem fraught with expensive faults (over a grand to fix) with the electronic injectors failing, DPF's clogging up, Dual-mass flywheels going KB etc etc |

I'm getting rid of mine very soon anyhow, its already obsolete since the new one came out. Looking to the land of
the rising sun for its replacement, it will be a good 5 years newer but not as 'premium' as what I have now.
I will have lost a LOT of money over my 3 years ownership of a premium brand car, fag packet math suggests
circa 7k give or take. Too much is optional on cars like Audis, I'd much rather buy a car thats very well specced
as standard, I spent a very long time hunting for the right Audi with the right spec. I could have had 2 nice holidays
with the money I've lost on that car.
To put it in perspective, my wifes car is almost the same age, new it cost about a third of the price my car was
when new, but I'll sell that with maybe 1000~1500 lost if that. Its what has made me rethink what to buy next,
I wont buy premium again for a while, at least until I can lose money like that without minding. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha
