I'd be more concerned it doesn't fit properly, that could cause you a lot more damage than rolling round in the back of a van will. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

If it's being delivered by Hermes you can guarantee it'll have been dropped, kicked and then thrown over your gate ready for any passing stranger to pinch ____________________ Beer, It's the reason I get up every afternoon

Just go down to a shop, try on various lids, then go online order the same one that was a perfect fit in the shop. TAKE a motorcycle mate with you, he should know how the lid should fit. You would be surprised how many people buys a lid too big or too small. Too loose helmet is a safety hazard, too tight helmet will give you headaches and you won't enjoy riding.
It is not like you are going to buy a new helmet everytime a GP rider changes his team or you buy a new motorcycle and want to mach the new colour scheme or any other crap. A good lid, if not going to kill yourself, is a 5+years investment. I still ride in my lid and it's been 6 years since I bought it, still fits great.
The only worry you should have when buying a lid is, whether the lid is a genuine piece of equipment and all the stickers with legal info are real. Yes, even motorcycle helmets are being counterfeited. ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ

Unless the courier actually puts it on and then smashes his head off the ground, he's not going to damage the polystyrene that will actually protect you. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Or, and this is just a thought, you could go to the shop, ask for them to help make sure it fits properly and then buy it there for the extra tenner and not have to worry about delivery and help a local shop out. They must be pretty sick of people coming in, trying stuff on and walking straight out. ____________________ This post is probably not serious and shouldn't be taken literally.
