wk125 sport rubber hoses under fuel tank

Hello I'm wondering if someone can help me out,

Right my sons wk125 sport started cutting out so starting to take the bike apart to clean the carb and adjust the mixture screws, when I lifted the tank off I found that their 3no pipes coming from what I can only think is a vacuum pump bolted just under the tank near the head stock , 1 no small pipe goes in to the carb housing and the other are large pipes one even has a filter in it but my problem is they are not connected to anything and I don't know where they need to go,

i have searched the net but can't find the answer , as the pipes must go somewhere

Can someone please advise me as this is my last hope !!!!!!!!

That would be an EGR valve. If it is, one hose should connect to an outlet near the exhaust something like this.

Third one, uh, I misrecollect. Airbox? Could just be a vent.

Owners tend to blank off the outlet because, fack it, it's only emissions and that, probably losing 5hp, innit.

However, without seeing the plumbing in question that's speculation.

Right ok yes agreed it is the EGR valve

The smallest hose goes to the rear of the engine and has a slight rip in it where if fits just before the carb on the rubber bit that bolts the carb to the motor,

If I blank one of the bigger hoses off does it matter witch one as the longer of the two hoses has the filter on it and still can't see where they need to go I've looked for the second pic you posted and I can't see it on the motor would it be possible someone has removed this and blanked for some reason

This may sound daft, but if the tank over flow is connected would it throw the excess in the carb inlet through the EGR valve ???

And what exactly does the EGR valve do with the pipes does it give more air to the carb with the little pipe ????

Does anyone know I'm loosing the will to live with this

The EGR valve is supposed to help burn off any unburnt or partially burnt gasses coming from the engine by recirculating them into the inlet manifold. It's supposed to make the air smell like violets and posies and save the planet from certain destruction.

When you mentioned a pipe coming from the inlet manifold, I figured it was the vacum feed for the tap

Maybe someone has disconected the EGR for whatever reason, if so, I'd have thought that the places they were attached should be plugged up.

So with that the bike should run fine without it being connected apart from losing a few bhp

Am I right in saying that I can leave the pipes off ????? And not use the EGR valve

But if I have to fit it this I how it should work

EGR valve 2no big pipes ( 1 with a directional flow filter ) 1no small pipe

Small hose to carb area rear of the motor
One of the big one to the tank over flow - presume this one I'll use with the filter on it
3rd one may just be a breather pipe

Ok finally

Bike back together ticks over like a dream revs up spot on

The 2no bigger hoses left of no idea where they go still

The small one is connected to the inlet manifold ( the rubber housing between the carb and engine)

If anyone has a pic of where they should be I would still like them on just peace of mind really

Don't want my son calling about 3am dad I've broke down can you get me 🙄🙄
