Honda MTX Engine swap

Hi guys, swapping out the UK non powervalved engine with a JC20 NSR engine.

Anything I need to be worried about? Batteries, wiring, etc.

Engine has arrived!

buy a JC20 loom if you win to fit the engine on the frame !

the problem is the terminals & connections with all the electronics
dont remember you need :
- servo-motor with a valves controler
- cdi unit
- reg/rec
- battery YTX5L-BS

hi,
iirc my mtx could run without a battery & had a very basic wiring loom.
would definitely need a nsr loom, though might be able to "lose" some wires.

you need a lot of spares now
- 28PHBH/FS carb + reeds + air box
- starter relay
- reg/rec
- valves system with cables
- control box (TV78) + CDI (CI572)
and obviously engine top end de-coking , rings change , eventually with piston change

hi,
I havnt looked at your link but is it a leccy start jc20 engine?
if so your gonna need starter motor, wiring & switchgear also.
