 |

I need help. My parents have been giving me a hard time because the house stinks of petrol. I don't know how it does but it does. I work on the bike outside in the garage. Then I come in and sit in my room. But somehow the whole house stinks of petrol. What's best for getting rid of the smell? ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing |

Have you got a fuel tap on the bike? It may help if you turn it to OFF. Check for any fuel containers in the garage too. Or you need to ventilate the garage while you're in there. ____________________ My Old CBR400RR | Bike Oil FAQ | Petrol FAQ |

I'm guessing your garage is built onto your house then, my current garage is this way and if I run the bikes or work on the bikes in there with petrol about it almost always stinks the house out and annoys my mum
Can't wait to move as I should have a garage completely seperate to the house so I can make it smell as petroley as I like without no one complaining ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

Maybe there's ventilation between the house and the garage, in which case maybe you could cover it over to stop the stink?
Or you could drink loads of Guinness and let the gasses flow, then your parents won't complain about the stench of petrol... ____________________ My Old CBR400RR | Bike Oil FAQ | Petrol FAQ |

I had this problem once before because an overflow pipe had filled with petrol. It went away after about a week.
Does your bike have a fueltap? If so turn it off. ____________________ Yamaha SZR660 Caution to the wind, the throttle pinned! |
