Fitted a Scorpion

Evening all,

Bought myself a little S/S Tagma for my 2010 GSXR 750 and fitted it this afternoon.
I had to remove the OE gasket on the link pipe as the can wouldn't go over it so its sealed metal to metal with the clamp over the top.

Though the clamp is tight and in the middle of the slotted area it isn't causing enough nip to hold the can on the sleeve.

Any suggestions for clamping this better, exhaust paste seems an option as a gasket would have to very thin.

As you tighten the clamp try tap tap tapping the clamp to help it snug into the can. These are 'slip on' and can move a little.
There shouldn't 'really' be any need for any sealant and the gas will suck air into the joint (venturi effect) rather than blow out.

It didn't pass any gases when putting my hand over the outlet. Just not happy with the movement as the hanger is doing all the work of stopping it's twisting or pulling off.

Will look at removing it and either opening up the tines to fit the OE gasket or closing them in for a tighter fit on the link pipe.

That's the job of the hanger. To support the can. If it's not leaking gas it's fine.

i couldn't get a clamp to fit my scorpion either

i ended up siliconing (that a word) on, hanger is solid an doesn't seem to be leaking
