honda cbr 125?

Right ive heard many stories about the honda cbr 125 r. does anyone know what the top speed is and how fast is it 0-60mph please?

Yes. I know, but I doubt many others else will agree (haven riden them theirselves or not).

The main argument you will get is since it is a small bike it is cheap and especially the speedo is out by miles. So when referring to speeds we say: 'I got an indicated speed of 85mph'.

On my CBR125R, while it was standard it had an idicated speed of 85mph.

Now iv changed a few things, it does 98mph indicated, which will be more likely 85-90mph. But, you will always get someone who won't believe it and say an indicated 98mph on the cbr is more like 75mph.

So, true speed of the Honda CBR125R, while standard, I would say is between 75mph and 80mph.

the realistic top speed of my mates one was just over 70 mph, 0-60 was ages

Welll the speedo is out by 8 mph, we have these signs round Radcliffe that tell you what speed your doing i had 87 indicaited at the top of 6th gear nearly, so it will do roughly 80 mph top speed, conditions dependant.

And 0-60 i thinks about 12-14 secs, 40 mph comes up quick, but 40-top speed pull is none existant.

I was on a rideout with one at the weekend. They WILL crack 80mph in their standard form given a long enough run at it. Go round corners very well.

For what its worth, that is to say, not much at all, I got 87 on the clocks on mine.

As for 0-60, I never timed it, I did have some sense of pride...

Hmm.

On the one hand, why???? do your test, buy a 400 and instantly have double the power before derestricting to 65 odd horses

on the other - if you love a machine why not, it's yours.

hi guys, just wondering if anyone else has been in these situations before:

first.. i dont know what`s wrong with my honda cbr 125, but i have never got more than 55 mph with my bike

second.. when i start the bike, for whatever reason, it takes such a long time to warm up; if i dont keep working the throttle for quite a long whille, then the bike just dies; it dies at idle.

For what its worth my Chinese copy of the cbr125 shows a top speed (with my fat ass on it) of 75mph. However when using my phones GPS it shows 55mph. I had suspected I wasn't doing 75 when so many cars would regularly take over me lol. The Speedo is spot on up to 35 then it just gets silly after that

The fast I ever got on a CBR 125 was an indicated 80mph. That was on a really really long, straight downhill coming back from Windermere in the Lake District. The roundabout where you can either go straight on into Kendal North or take the next exit which is the A road towards the motorway.

Even then it took pretty much 2 minutes flat out on that downhill, licking the tank (almost painfully crouched behind the windshield), to get that speed. Wing mirrors in, just been to the toilet, etc.

Reckon you get that on a regular basis? Go on, off you fuck!
