Best to get to a J&S / Infinity shop and try some on.

There are Oxford, Draggin Jeans, Hood, Red Route, Sartso (being some of the main names).

I have had Draggin jeans, and now have some Oxford ones. They work well. All have a slightly different cut and sizing, as with normal jeans.

I believe some also have more kevlar lining than others, although not sure which (Oxford and Draggin have sections of kevlar as opposed to 100% kevlar lined).

I have forceriders (circa £30), Hornee (£40-ish) and draggin (£ridiculous).

Have crashed in the forceriders.... still have legs attached to me so they work.

The Hornee seem better made, not tested them sliding down the road yet. They have a button fly though which irritates me.

The draggin are well made and the kevlar is thicker than the others (thicker than I think necessary). The area covered with kevlar is less on the draggins, it seems they just covered the bits needed for skin grafts for the bits not covered.

Lidl/Aldi do them periodically.

Much cheapness. Unlike many makes, large sizes are made for big people, not fat people. So they have more room between the waistband and gusset and longer legs, not just larger waists.

I find many makes to be very tight in the crotch area. Draggin being one of the worst for this. Trying them on is a must.

I also have a couple of pairs of red route ones which are comfy and a good fit.

I've never found a set in which the armour sits well and is sufficiently restrained in the right place. As such, I remove it. I think ill-fitting/poorly restrained armour is just as likely to cause an injury as prevent one.

+1 for cheapo force riders off eBay. About £20-30 depending on where you look. The kneepads are a bit shite because the pouch they sit in is feckin ginormous so they flop around a bit, but I put a few stitches in them to hold the pads in place and theyre fine now. Not tested them by falling off yet, and dont intend on doing so. But they feel reasonably thick and ruggedly made, got 2 years of use out of them so far and they still look almost new.

Some are fully lined with kevlar. Others (lkike my Draggin jeans) are only lined where they expect you to land, double in places.

I've only owned Draggin jeans. They're comfy enough to wear all day. Never needed to know what sort of protection they offer.

i have a pair from Aldi .. they with stood a 40mph skidd : with cheapo reggata zip off trousers which shredded: almost un-marked..

i would advise they be worn with a broad leather belt to keep in place.
RST hip protectors are a prefect fit for the sewn in pockets

I removed the lining from my leather trousers, it made a huge difference, they're not uncomfortably hot in the summer any more.
If I want some more insulation, when its cold, I wear them over some long johns!

J&S had a rack dedicated to kevlar jeans on sale last time I visited. Might be worth a visit to try some on and see what you like the look and feel off and offer protection you feel comfortable riding with.

Personally I didn't feel the need to spend big money on kevlar jeans or alike because the weather hardly permits using them so opted for a cheapo pair with kevlar lining on the important areas and used spare knee protection I had to put in them.

Jobs a gooden.

Got some Aldi £29 ones. Very good when riding when its warm. Just do not think that you can work in them.
I work in a air con office and they were still way to hot to wear when working. As well as too heavy, even when taking out the knee protectors etc.

I've got a pair of Red Route ones that I've had for a few years, I swear by them. I wear those on the bike more often than anything else.

I like my Hood jeans - fully lined and the armour stays where you put it.

I have a pair of arlen Ness kevalrs jeans and I love them, super comfortable and the padding feels substantial. Wish the Kevlar lining covered all of the inside but where it is I'm key areas you would need it. Cost me £100 iirc and I would recommend them

Got some Oxford K jeans, can't remember how much they were (£30-40 I think). They're comfortable enough to wear off the bike, not had any issues after about a year of use. Sizing's a bit odd, iirc they start at a 32" leg but they're a bit bigger than 'normal' trousers.

I'm very happy with the Hornee Jeans I bought last year, think I gave £40 for them. I think they are the same firm as Spada?
You wear the spandex supported knee pads separately to the trouser which helps them stay put and reasonably comfy.
I have taken to wearing that same set of knee armour with my leathers as well for the same reason.

Anyone tried Bull-It? Some of them look like ordinary jeans and they're half price at Infinity https://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product/bull-it-dirty-wash-motorcycle-jeans-/4849

I have a pair of Oxford K I paid £50 for. Also have a pair of no brand cargo jeans I paid £35 for. Both are fantastic.

I have a pair of RST kevlar jeans, they have kevlar panels on the arse and knees, and adjustable/removable knee armour. I don't use the knee armour as it's not wide enough and doesn't sit well on the knees so I see it giving little protection in a spill. Otherwise they are extremely comfy jeans and have plenty of room between the legs.

I got a pair of ARMR jeans when I first started out, never had issues apart from the removal knee pockets irritating the skin on my knee until I washed the pockets a few times, now I can wear them all day, great for working on bike to, built in knee pads so comfortable for kneeling on tarmac. Mainly worn for town riding not hammering round twisters though.. or when I'm doing shit and likely to be riding a few times in a day, I'll just wear them like normal jeans. I got lucky though, heard lots of people saying about brands and fit ect. On sale 60 quid some of my tart mates pay double that for stupid skinny, creased new this season stupid wine lounge jeans...

I have the following:

1 x Bikers gear black denin
1 X generic Black cargo
1 X Draggin Black denim brand new (for sale)

The first two are very good for the price I paid, roughly around £50, Kevlar is well distributed and seems good quality denim too. I use them to ride to work and then stay in them throughout the working day, saves me having to change etc for work.

The Draggin one actually feel awesome, very thick denim. Don't know what they are like to use as they are too big for me so never wore them.

Also cannot advise on how they respond in a crash as thankfully not had to put them to them test.

I've found cheap ones never fit right. I've had most brands and my favourites are Draggin and Berik. All the cheap ones have been to tight round the legs and too loose at the waist. It's like they sew kevlar into normal jeans whereas the more expensive ones tailor the size to take into account the kevlar.
