What is with the latest fashion for Twist 'n' Go scooter riders to ride with just one hand on the bars and their other hand on their balls????
I notice copious amounts of scooter riders with just one hand to control the machine Thumbs Down , if they have to take evasive action they'll end up biting tarmac..........STOP IT NOW!!! (ya look stoopid anyway Middle Finger )

l can understand putting your hand on your balls on a motorbike just before you crash (balls wacking the tank) but not on a ped.

It must get frustrating only using one quarter of the speedo dial all the time. Wink Of course, the 3rd quarter would never be entered on British roads... Mr. Green

The Blackbird is one Honda I actually quite like. Thumbs Up

Thats all well and good. I wouldn't mind if it was just them. But if they loose it on the road, they could take someone else out...

Sure have fun, I made (still making) my fair share of mistakes. But don't believe that you can only hurt yourself. A friend of mine is unable to work in any serious job again because of the actions of another rider.

Riding in T-Shirt and shorts does not impair your ability to control the bike, so is not going to affect what happens before an accident, only the resulting injuries.

This isn't meant to be a lecture, just a reminder that our actions can have consequences for those around us.

It is a genuine plate and 'STE' is right, a bit of adjustment and its as you see it...
The other 3 quarters of the speedo never gets used Rolling Eyes , oh no! never never never.

Krs, its not only who suffers if you come off... Who has to supply all the medical attention, who has to witness it, who has to carry the victim until they recover (if they recover)??
Why do guys wear leather?? its not to look like a power ranger, its to give some chance of protection. As for riding 1 handed its a stupid fashion that kids are getting into and when they come unstuck its another statistic for the government to use in getting all of us off the road (how cool would that be?)

Nothing wrong with a bit of a fumble when you get bored on a straight Razz Nah tbh honest i ride one handed about 50% of the time. No idea why though, but just a general habit. Only practical time is when you have a cold clutch hand so you mash it inbetween your legs till it works again.

Oh and the only thing you cant do well with just your right hand on the bars is stoppie/emergency stop. Front just tries to tuck.

Everything else aslong as you dont need clutch or indicators etc is fine.

And before you say avoiding, i can do my favourite set of twisties one handed at about 70 quite happily. Its an important ability to be able to change the fuel cock when needs be, and ive had to do that on corners many many times. Usually you dont need to steer /that/ hard to avoid cars etc, and as for breaking, the time it take to move your hand from tank/balls to bars is before the brakes start kicking in anyway.

Now no handing... Thats abit more dangerous... but again, not overly reckless. Long as everythings set up (ie back wheel wont track left or right) and you are going about 20 plus - 80 ish it will happily continue in a straight line. Infact thats a very good way to slow down from a ton, squeeze the fuel tank with thighs and sit bolt upright with arms out. Looks very biblical Laughing

I wouldnt ride one handed for a long period of time, especially not on a 2 stroke cos if it seizes up your buggered as you cannot pull the clutch in in time!

Riding with one hand is something i will NEVER do.
This is an experience i had when i had my scooter.
I was on my way to work, nice day and i started getting flies im my face so i went to close my visor, so only one hand on the bars while doing this for a split second. Because the wheels are so small i went over a little hole and it sent the handle bars into a "tank slapper" because i didnt have so much control over them, fell off and ended up breaking my leg and doing quite a bit of damage to the ped. DONT DO IT.

Ok, I agree with you there, do that a bit to free up the old joints if I've been on the motorway and coming up the slip road.

Never considered what an onlooker must think...
