I am so ready to give up biking now. It is just not worth the continous out pour of money when so little enjoyable riding comes out of it before it breaks again.
I had a few probs with the bike and was ok with that but when you take it to the mechanics and ask them to sort out the scottoiler and they actually break it. They put a massive hole in the turing canister. Then every other part of your bike simutaneousley decided to stop working I just feel it's trying to say something. Reg/rec gone, links seized, bulbs blowing left right and centre, fuses fucking up.
Oh yeah and the numerous unfair tickets. Was forced in to a bus lane by a car and and still trying to dispute it and a load of others.
Big vent but I feel like I'm going to explode in a second. ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

Cheers Yams.
Do yo reckon it is better to fix bikes up and sell them or just sell them cheap in a bit of a state? ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead

It depends really, if you fix it up then you might as well keep it, you can sell it and lose money, you can spend money on it, sell it and still lose money, or you can spend money on it and keep it.
I never keep bikes long, not because theres anything wrong with them, but because I just like to change, whenever I buy something I always find myself wanting something else.. - but the KTM, there's something about the KTM.. I just want to spend money doing it up, making it faster, perform better, handle better, look better.. I don't want to sell it......ever
You just have to find the right bike, one day you'll find a bike that you really would spend any amount of cash on..
If you are happy with your CB then you'll spend the money on it, if you're reluctant to spend the money then it's either 1) really really not economical or 2) you're not happy with it whatsoever..
Don't let some small problems put you off too much... the stuff you stated shouldn't cost a great deal to fix, it seems a nice bike you got there and if you plan to keep it a while then spending the money shouldn't be too bad.. IF it continues to be a problem then that's maybe a different story, but you don't know that until you get to it................. ____________________ Current Toys: 06 Yamaha WR250F | Nissan 350Z GT | Tech 4 Homes |

How many kms are on the clock? I have found with my cb-1 that things like to go in pairs, its generally the same with most honda's.
In the last three months ive had 3 fork seals go, chain and sprokets, tyres, indecators, fuses and much more but i have done about 18 thousand miles on it in the 11months i've had it. Shes got 54,000kms on it and still going strong.
As others have said its not a brand new bike. |

I think I would just like a bike that doesn't go wrong EVER!
For example why do cars indicators rarely if ever go wrong but bike ones are always fucking up? ____________________ Enjoy Life There's Plenty of Time to be Dead
