On the way to work today and I lost all power. Pulled over the the side of the road and the chain had come off. Another biker who was passing pulled over and helped me reattach the chain, tighten it and run it. It would run but then there would be a crack, and the chain was loose. Checked the front sprocket, and it is as its meant to be, tightened the chain again, ran it and it seemed ok. Went maybe 50 metres and the chain came off again. This time, checked both sprockets, realigned the tire, checked for split links (none) and it seemed ok. About half a mile later, there is a click coming from the left hand side. Chain is still quite tight, but I was concerned that if it was clicking like it was, it might cause more damage. Took it home, and set off to work in the car.
What should I be checking / doing next? Booked tomorrow off to get this sorted, so should i just go and get new chain and sprockets? Is there something that I should check before spending more money?
Cheers in advance. ____________________ thx1138 wrote: Well if you had a car, I'd bet it would smell like urine had had drunken sex with vomit and made a poo baby.

Sounds like CaNsA has got it, I noticed when I was letting it spin in 1st on the centre stand there was a little bit of movement, and any acceleration caused a "jump". Gonna check the sprocket carrier as well, but I reckon that I might as well replace the sprockets and chain anyways. Because it is left outside and I haven't kept it as lubed as I could do, I might as well do it and keep an eye on it.
Cheers lads. ____________________ thx1138 wrote: Well if you had a car, I'd bet it would smell like urine had had drunken sex with vomit and made a poo baby.
