We have two stoves and one on each.
The best one by far is a two bladed ecofan, it's a bit more expensive but can be on offer out of season.
The other is a four blade type and for whatever reason it seems to thrash away but not waft out as much warm air.
Are they worth it?
Hard to say - you don't get significantly more heat from the stove, however it does help circulate heat out into the room, especially if it's in a rather inset fireplace.
If you are wanting to move heat through to an area further away like a hallway or upstairs, it will probably have noticeable effect.
It's also ... well .. kind of fun, and does give an indication of when the heat is dropping and another log is needed.

I've got one, but it's my second.
Fried the first, they will only take heat up to about 350c.
Bought a flue thermometer with my second. ____________________ Currently enjoying products from Ford, Mazda and Yamaha

They will cause a net reduction of the heat output of your stove. Because thermodynamics.
That doesn't mean they aren't cool and that I don't want one.
If air circulation is an issue for you, it makes some sense. I personally think convection will do it's thing, fan or no.
My house is old enough that I spend all my time trying to REDUCE air circulation.
EDIT: If I was going to put a fan gadget on top of my stove, it would be a sterling engine rather than thermoelectric powered one. Just because. ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
