Block up the main holes with gaffa tape. Fill a bucket with water to the brim and place it inside a bigger, empty bucket. Fully immerse the airbox in the water.

The volume of water that is now in the bigger bucket is literally the displacement of the airbox.

Fill it with jelly. Take jelly out. Use Stinky's method using the jelly.

Edit: Sand or similar would be better because it would be less likely to leak. The fact that it's not in the shape of the airbox when you stick it in water is irrelevant as you are looking at the volume of sand, which wouldn't change.

Why do you need to measure one that accurtately anyway?

It's the shape, inlet trumpet lengths and baffle positions rather than the overall volume that's the important part. The volume is just to give everything space to happen in.

It does if you repeat the exercise without the holes blocked up to find the volume of the casing alone.
