thanks in advance so far for everyones help, and hello from sunny south wales lol,
i have a daytona 600 2004, with a high idling issue when cold and when warm,
when bike started from cold and warm it seems to go right up to 2/3k does come back down but very slowly, when i rev the bike it revs up and down like normal, it like the choke not coming down properly, i.e stepper motor.
it all started after a charity ride, on the way is was riding brilliant, then on way home it pissed down gave it some beans to get home and a mile before it started to have this problem, check all connections everything is dry
Question?
my stepper motor/ iacv, when bike is warm i notice it still stays in the up position, why my bike is idling high, like the choke is always on,
when i turn the ignition on and off it goes up and down as it should,
even when the bike is warm it goes all the way to the open position, comes down to normal but very slowly,
so my question is the stepper motor bad, or is there a sensor that is ment to tell the stepper motor to come back down but its not,
p.s i have tryed and tested for air leaks but all seems ok.
sorry for the essay, [/b] ____________________ vlewis |

Check the output of the coolant temperature sensor. If you can work out which wire it is check it at the ECU plug and at the sensor see how the results compare. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
