Where have you mounted your cams

Got a cam one designed like a go pro, I'd rather it not be on the side of my crash helmet. Has anyone fitted there's in other places, espically with cams like the go pro.

Tried on the front fairing near the headlight but the footage was quite shakey, not had a chance to try elsewhere.

In the head... connected to the Cam chain?... was my immediate thought.

Only times I've used one recently has been on the rear fairing pointing forwards I think.

I have two of them mounted permanently as kind of a black box. Front one is mounted on the mirror. Rear one is mounted on the rack. You may try handlebars for front one. For me was no good because of my fairing standing in a way.

I have done nice holes in the water proof cases with soldering iron and stuck usb leads connected to PDM60 power supply. Some kitchen silicone sealant to seal the usb leads to the case gives me back water proofing.

The set up is in car mode and auto power on/off for the cameras.

Means when I turn the ignition the cameras are on and when I turn it off the cameras are off.

Use a top-mounted Drift on helmets sometimes which doesn't really cause any problems. Not sure if i'd fancy a chunkier Gopro-shaped camera on the helmet though.

My Sj4000 is mounted on the bottom of the screen which gives a good unobstructed viewpoint.

I have one on the tail pointing backwards. Other one is helmet mounted, there really is no better place since it's always pointing where you're looking.

Yeah thats just clipped in to one of the curved 3M adhesive mounts. I'd check the angle of the screen before sticking it down though, mine has to be tilted right back on the clip as far as it will go to get a clear view.

I mount mine on the yoke. Unfortunately, you can see your speed which yould either need to blur out, or just leave it for show if it's on the track. It's on a RAM mount!

I have a gopro 3+ mounted on top of my helmet, it see's what i look at! I have caught all sorts of complete tits & their bad driving, as well as some tart that reversed into me last week!

Fairly decent positioning.

What type of bracket fits onto that? Thing I like is people see it on the front and you notice they look at it and wait instead of trying to force you over

On that flat plate is a mounting clip that's supplied with the camera just stuck on with that 3M adhesive foam. Had no issues. Good quality footage and since its on the front suspension pretty much it doesn't shake at all unless the wheel is in the air

SJCAM SJ4000 on top' Official GoPro plastic mount is better than the cheap evilbay knockoff's which don't fit the waterproof housing tightly enough making the camera rotate on it's mount in high winds or over potholes even with adjustment nut fully tightened.

Don't forget you can also get body mounts, I've used a chest harness pulled high up under my chin as I don't want it on my helmet. Also you can get wrist mounts to carry it like a watch but I've never tried mine

Just don't try on the front fairing with a suction mount. Just above the headlight. I nearly took Carvel out with mine 😳
