Hi my clutch was slipping and I had to change plates, now its ok but when im stopping and going down in gears (clutch lever is always pressed during this) it makes this strange short whirling noise. Happens only when i go from second to first. Not sure if I adjusted my clutch improperly or is it something else.. Also i need to really force it from first going into neutral or second but if i turn off the engine its good and feels as it should be. And I changed seals and cleaned my front brakes but they are super soft now. Im not able to build any decent pressure after bleeding for an hour, I bled master cylinder first and then brakes. Strange thing was that one bleeding nipple lol was leaking air bubbles but no brake fluid. Thanks for replies

What bike? What type of clutch?

Brakes just sound like they need bleeding still

Are you tightening the nipples after squeezing the lever but before releasing it?

They aren't one way valves.

I got zx6r 1998, im not sure what types there are but its wet clutch. Im gonna bleed them today, do you know if leaving brake calipers higher than fluid tank over night would help?

I pump lever for a while till it's semi hard (that came out wrong), then press it and turn bleeding nipple. Make it tight again, release brake and repeat again

ZX6R 6 pot callipers HA ha BTDTGTS

tie the front brake leaver in over night it should sort it

If not you not got the pistons clean enough or not used red brake grease or silicone grease on the seals
Silicone is much better

Ignore Haynes joke book don't use brake fluid as a lubricant it is not !

Hi

The 6 pot calipers are renowned for seizing up and being a nightmare to bleed. Worth stripping them fully and clean out behind the seals thoroughly.

Clutch wise, think it is a cable clutch, but not sure what adjustment there is. Ie, is there an adjuster other than the one for the cable. Also check whether there are any different thickness clutch plates and if there are whether you put them back in the right order.
