WK650TR now has faults at 1000 miles, first and I think at least one is major, which is a high pitch squeal between 2500 and 3500 RPM coming from engine, really ear piercing, dealer says induction noise, that is bullshit of course, I can hear the induction noise separately, cooling fan rattles and another high pitch noise that is constant, not sure what it is but I suspect possibly another fan or something, it is not engine related but is ignition on related.
I also think mine is a derestricted version because it is not very quick compared with a demonstrator machine I rode but no way of telling if it is or not.
Creaking from head bearing.
Front brake suddenly went very grabby at low speed like 1 mile per hour or so, it caught me unawares and had me off, also brakes juddering when stopping from higher speed.
Paint very soft, scratches when polishing.

Torn between "Informative" and "Funny". Thanks for keeping us posted and I'm sorry to hear that it's not working out so well.
Seems like Enfield-owning IT nerds are prime candidates for buying these things: linuxyeti is Enfield + WK and I had a couple of sniffs too when they were full price.
Got a video of the squealing(s)? If it's purely rev based then that sounds concerning - I'd be fretting that it was eating a camshaft, although I suppose the "good" news is that won't take long to resolve if so.
Grabby brakes sounds like a warped disc or sticking pistons or sliding pin.
I'd be inviting the dealer to make all these issues go away or get ready to pay for someone else to do it, although you may struggle to find anyone who will touch it. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

How dare you infiltrate a chinese bike thread, with a bike from Taiwan !! I'm pretty sure the RT125 is Taiwanese, but I could be mistaken.
Stood next to a Lexmoto Valiant the other day, it's actually physically reasonably big, for a 125. ____________________ Beware what photos you upload, or link to on here, especially if you have family members on them

I had to use vi for the first time in many years last week. I feel so dirty. ____________________ Chances are quite high you are not in my Monkeysphere, and I don't care about you. Don't take it personally.

I think you mean restricted?

That's not what a bump stop does. I think you mean a crash bung? And braking is what what a brake does. What you mean is breaking. |
Yes I do mean restricted, yes I do mean crash bung, the one on the fairing did its job, although scratched, is only just over £7.00 to replace, footpeg just under a tenner, one at the back would have protected the pannier from what at least is only a tiny scratch.
Yes I did mean breaking footpeg and the brakes are juddering when braking at higher speed and grab at very low speed. |

I only realised this year that bikes have brakes at both ends.
Yes, I know we have to do the "what you ought to have done, right..." thing, but something's not right with OP's brakes and the dealer isn't interested, is my take-away point from this thread. ____________________ Biking is 1/20th as dangerous as horse riding.

Old Thread Alert!
