it's keeping me busy with work. It seems to cock up the regional settings and defaults to US, plus it enables "password protected sharing" whether you had it set or not.
Other common issues are POP3 based email stops sending in Outlook until you run System File Checker.
GWX Control panel is quite effective for those who don't want it.
I had to do it as a lot of customers were upgrading. It's OK, boots quicker than Win7. My main gripe is the search function doesn't suit my needs. I may want to pull up spreadsheets from a particular customer, showing 20 or so of the most recent. Not 2 spreadsheets Windows thinks is most relevant, a web site, an app of a similar name and a load of other cobblers I don't want. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.

I hate Windows 10, can't get used to it. Seems to be the most CPU and RAM intensive Windows ever. ____________________ I want your clothes, your boots and your motorcycle.

FFS, after months of turning down Microsoft's kind offer to 'upgrade' my system from 8.1 to 10 for free the arseholes have ridden roughshod over my wishes and dumped 10 on my PC. WTF???
I will no doubt get used to it but WTF has it done to the way I view BCF?
I presume I need to go on a settings hunt as most of the members avatars have disappeared and I have a little black box with a cross in it and 'middle finger' where this should be.
So Microsoft this one's for you
EDIT: Now I can at least see my efforts, as I'm viewing through Chrome, Microsoft Edge doesn't seem to like offensive shit regardless of the settings and won't show anything like this |

My win10 has gone to shit. Can't open the start menu or right click the buttons on the bottom bar. Got programs that just seem to disappear and settings that just turn back on after being turned off. Also there's a lot of thing that start on startup that can't be turned off.
Having a user account for every day stuff and an admin account for important system stuff doesn't seem to work anymore |

Really ...
There are many many video and imaging editors available for Linux, and yes, used in a professional environment. Where we work, we use a combination of Gimp, Openshot, blender etc.
Yes I'm sure there's a bit of a learning curve, but there is with anything new.
I'm presuming by serious work, you don't include building web services, openstack cloud environments, 999 Emergency control systems, Docker containers, managing enterprise hrms, and erp systems, and multi replicated database technologes, both rdbms and nosql environments? ____________________ Beware what photos you upload, or link to on here, especially if you have family members on them |

If you think Linux can run a comparable program you aren't aware what those two (for example) can do. |
Serious work... photoshop?

GIMP is supposed to be pretty good.
Works on Windows |

If you prefer Internet Explorer, it's still there. Search "Internet" and right click, more, pin to taskbar.
Then Settings, system, apps, choose default apps, set IE as default.
IE seems to crash my display driver in Win10 though, so I've started using Chrome and the fault has gone. ____________________ TZR250 2MA road, TZR250 1KT road, TZR250 2MA race, TDR250, YZF-750R Boost colours.
